Road Safety Week
Monday 28th July we are having a ROAD SAFETY WEEK. The centre will be having a visit from Port Stephens Council to come and talk to the children about road safety and wearing helmets while riding bikes.
Grandparents Morning Tea
We are also hosting a GRANDPARENT’S MORNING TEA on Wednesday 6th August. Grandparents are valued members of the community and within their families and we wish to include them in our centre activities. During this day they will be able to share morning tea with their grandchild as well as be involved in some activities at the centre.
Footy week was a huge success with the children wearing their favourite jerseys and footy colours. We included lots of ball games outside with soccer nets and footy goals to encourage eye/hand co-ordination. The pre-schoolers made papier mache footballs to hang around the room as well as the world cup symbals and colours.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Don’t forget about our Parent/Teacher interviews in July. Parents can talk to their child’s teacher about their progress and view their developmental portfolio.

On Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th of July, TLC Early Learning Centre was lucky enough to be greeted by a magician who dazzled the kids with some wonderful magic tricks that could rival Harry Potter.
It was a beautiful morning filled with drama, music and magic.

We recently conducted a multicultural food week so the children and parents could taste food from different cultures. This was very successful with the parents bringing in some food also from their country of origin.
We were recently accredited by the Early Childhood Education and Care Electorate and were assessed as meeting the National Quality Standards.
We were very pleased to have achieved this as we feel we have a quality centre and offer a loving, caring and educational environment for the children.
We were once again nominated for the Port Stephens Examiner Business Awards for 2012 and we were once again in the finals.
We were all very pleased to make the finals 2 years in a row. Our Parents nominated us for the awards which tells us they must be happy with our service. Thanks again to the parents for the nomination.
